Main story SFBR featured on Telemundo 51’s Cuentale a Marilys Breaking news! SFBR enjoyed a moment in the TV spotlight last week, when President and co-founder Yessy and our adoptable pups Bandit and Blue were featured on Telemundo 51’s Cuentale a Marilys. The segment, hosted by veteran Spanish-language TV reporter Marilys Llanos, aired on September 22nd and highlighted the critical work SFBR is doing to help dogs in need. Thank you, Marilys, for sharing our mission with your viewers. Howlin’ Good

The contest will take place on the SFBR website and the winner will be announced on November 1st.Fab FosterKati & Trip It is never too late to show someone a little kindness. That’s exactly what our Fab Foster Kati did for Trip, a senior beagle rescued by SFBR in early July after iving in a hoarding/abuse situation. Trip’s sweetness and wagging tail stole our hearts since Day 1. He simply would not allow his arthritis, complete kidney failure, congestive heart failure and heavy dental calculus to get in the way of his happiness. Kati and her family – including her beagle Mimi – opened their home and hearts to Trip, who spent several days with them exploring in the yard and snoozing in his comfy bed. Unfortunately, Trip’s health began to decline quickly. His body was unable to handle o many medical issues. Kati stood by Trip at every minute while this sweet pup crossed the rainbow bridge a week later. Although Trip was not dealt the cards he deserved in life, we are certain that this sweet boy had the best week of his life because of Kati and his foster family. We’ll never forget you, Trip! Pawfect PartnersAdopting a rescue dog is a life changing moment for both the pup and its new parents. Bowie’s Bites has partnered with SFBR to help us celebrate this new adventure by providing new awrents with a goodie bag full of delicious, four-ingredient treats. We are thrilled to support Bowie’s Bites, a female-owned and local small business whose owner truly believes in the impact of animal rescue.Adoptables: Bandit, Mango, Amy, Blue, Lucy & Beau (bonded) and the kittensHappy Tales PuppiesApollo, Mia, Hunter and Ace - four sweet “beagle” mix puppies with a heartwarming story of compassion and love. Found by a good samaritan in the streets of Pompano Beach in late June, the puppies almostimmediately showed signs of illness. SFBR got the call for help and, within the hour, a generous man and his daughter Mia (yes, we named a puppy after her) made the trip to Town and Country Animal Hospital in West Kendall for treatment. We are happy to report that all four pups have found their forever homes! Thanks to all those who volunteered their time and treasure to ensure these puppies were given a chance to be loved. Genesis (now Pepper)You know it’s real love when your new human drives from labama to Florida just to come adopt you! Genesis - now known as Pepper - waited quite some time to find her family, and it was well worth it. She is one lucky gal, who found her furever family thanks to the love and care of those who fostered, trained and transported her all the way from Miami to Tampa so that she could meet her new family. Pepper is loving her new life in Alabama!
